PDP Presidential candidate atiku Abubkar has filed a petition against president Buhari’s re-election in the Feb 23rd Presidential election.
Atiku Abubakar and his party are challenging the election of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress on the grounds of massive rigging, malpractices and noncompliance with electoral laws.
In the petition, Mr Abubakar and the PDP are praying that they be declared winner of the election.
In the alternative, the two petitioners-Atiku Abubakar and the PDP- prayed the presidential election tribunal to nullify the poll and order for a fresh one that will be conducted in line with the provisions of the electoral laws.
The national legal adviser of the PDP, Emmanuel Enodem, confirmed to journalists at the venue of the tribunal that over 400 witnesses have been assembled to testify during the hearing.
